In this OSINT challenge presented by Sofia Santos, the task was to determine the name and coordinates of the location shown in the picture below. Here is my walkthrough.

Using a reverse image search, I quickly identified the location. Given that presidents typically meet foreign partners in official places like the presidential palace, I suspected this information would be easily found in related articles or photo captions.

Presidents walking on a white-blue carpet toward the complex to pose for photos.

The reverse search results confirmed my suspicion, showing multiple posts identifying the location as the Presidential Complex (Cumhurbaşkanlığı Sarayı) in Ankara, Turkey. For instance, an X (formerly Twitter) post highlighted a recent visit by Somalia’s president at the same location.

To pinpoint the exact coordinates where the officials were shaking hands, I used Google Earth Pro to be able to see the entrance of the complex more visibly with past imagery.

The details matched perfectly, and I determined the coordinates to be 39°55'52"N 32°47'58"E, at the entrance of the complex.
