The Photo Showing Suicide Attack in Pakistan is Actually from Iraq

A prominent journalist shared the above photo on his X platform, then Twitter, purporting to showcase an attack by a Pakistani militant group (TTP) on a Pakistani police post on Jan 19, 2023. However, upon conducting a reverse search, the photo appears to originate from another country and date entirely.

The actual photo was published on Alamy photo and captures the aftermath of a car bomb explosion outside the Al Sabah newspaper office in Baghdad’s Waziriya district, Iraq, on August 27, 2006.
